Who is Thad?

Thad wears many hats as the passionate and charismatic leader of Thad Peck Motivational. Thad is a Cedar Falls native, is married, and has two children. 

As a former basketball standout at Cedar Falls High school and Wartburg College, he has utilized his basketball talents to lead  basketball training clinics and camps in the Cedar Valley for the last 10 years.  

Thad has worked with many collegiate athletes and professionals such as AJ Green (Milwaukee Bucks), and Jack Campbell (Detroit Lions).

He helped the Cedar Falls Boys Basketball Team obtain state championships in 2018, 2019, and 2026.

He is a 20 year veteran of teaching, coaching, personal training and wellness coaching. He is also a dedicated teacher and advocate of individuals with special needs in his role as adaptive PE teacher at River Hills School. 

After a scary car accident In 2012, an unexpected path was forged in Thad’s life. He began meditating and taking classes about the science of breathing and the impact on one’s health and mindset. 

By establishing a daily breathwork and meditation practice for the last 14 years, in addition to adding certifications to his repertoire, Thad expanded TPM to include workshops and clinics on Breathwork and Mindset Performance Coaching, Sound Healing, and Motivational Speaking. 

Thad has taught dozens of workshops across the midwest to school districts, small businesses, corporations, sports teams, community members, and anyone willing to listen to his daily sessions in the sauna.

Thad integrates breathwork for stress management, breathwork for sports performance, and mindset performance coaching backed by science to create an optimal state of health in any environment to achieve anything one desires.

Thad’s motivational speaking engages a message of authenticity, accountability, and self-empowerment through personal awareness. Thad’s message is a powerful one that highlights the need to be real and honest with one’s mental health. Thad’s challenges with alcoholism, basketball identity conflicts from his playing days, and the challenges of his son’s mental health battles due to Thad’s alcoholism are all shared in his impactful message.

Thad’s teachings are influenced by decades of experience and professional training in Breathwork and Mindset Performance Training, Oxygen Advantage Advanced, Personal Training and Wellness Coaching (American Council on Exercise), Shamanic Breathing, Sound Healing, and a 14-year practitioner of meditation.
